Hello people, this is your publicist speaking. :)

Today was the first meet up for the play “How I Learned To Drive” by Paula Vogel. It was raining cats and dogs, but that didn’t stop us from meeting up to see who is who for the production crew. Getting to know everybody was really interesting, with all of us coming from different backgrounds, but each of us with a hidden agenda to want to play “passion-for-the arts” by night. Hehehe.

We went a through a round of walking about to get a feel of our new working space, which then went on to, with us in a circle, playing a very odd game of “Whoosh, Whoa, Zap and Freak Out!” Take my word, it’s some game to screw your mind over so that you get confused haha. Followed by one more game of where, while everyone is still in the circle, we were to walk to someone and the person you walk to must say your name before you reach them. Another wonderfully pleasantly possible to be confusing game..hehe.

With the ice broken, we then set down, to get a better understanding of the play…by reading all 90 pages of it. lol.

To give an understanding of the play this is a short synopsis of it.

“The story begins, with Lil Bit who tells her story of how she learned to drive a car, through Uncle Peck who was her driving teacher. But Uncle Peck seemed to be a bit more than just a teacher, in fact he was rather close to Lil Bit. It was only when Lil Bit got a bit more mature, and moving on to study in the city, that she realised the relationship she had with Uncle Peck was not only disturbing but wrong.”

I’ll end it at that. Hehehe, if you want to know what happens in between this cleverly written and witty play…Go watch it! :) But stay tuned for possibly some behind the scenes of what happens in “How I Learned To Drive”. Updates on the venue and when it’ll be shown is coming soon too.
